Our wonderful friend in Okinawa, Catherine, sent us our last box of yummy goodies from Okinawa this week. They are leaving Okinawa and we are sure going to miss all of the treats that she has sent, but are so excited for them on their newest adventure. In this box, along with the snacks, were the ingredients to make onigari. I wasn't quite sure how to shape that or wrap it so I pulled out my little mat for making California rolls and we improvised. Leanna and I had fun with our creation and finished off this meal with some yummy noodles that had the cutest little fish cakes shaped like bears and puppies.
