March 24, 2011.....our last day of Vacation

The last day of our trip was spent at the indoor waterpark.  Everyone had a blast!

March 22 & 23, 2011....Day 3 and 4 of Spring Break

Today we took a stroll through Gatlinburg.  Saw some strange characters and did some tourist shopping.......

 rode on an airplane......
and some go-karts......

 and some swings........
took a train ride.......
rode a carousel........

ate at Bubba Gumps Shrimp....
and saw some beautiful scenery through Cade's Cove.

March 21, 2011.......Day 2 in Gatlinburg

We took a chairlift from downtown Gatlinburg to the top for the view. It was a warm and beautiful day.

We went to the Dixie Stampede and they asked Leanna to join the show. She chased chickens.
We also went to the Ripley's Aquarium. We all loved it!

Leanna got to chose a prize in the gift shop. She begged for two and they were so cute that it was impossible to say NO.

March 20, 2011....Our first day of Spring Break in Gatlinburg

Photo was taken at the Titanic Exhibit - kind of cheesy but we rarely have photo's of all 4 of us.
We had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe' - Jeff and I love these places and have eaten in Hard Rock's all over the place!
This was the view from the balcony of the condo that we stayed in. Mountains in the distance, outlet mall close by, and winery (the red roof).

March 17, 2011.....St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I had fun putting together this outfit for Leanna. I made the pants and had the monogram on the shirt done at a local embroidery shop. She added the beads. She is a becoming quite the little fashionista!

March 13, 2011....A Beautiful Weekend to Celebrate Will turning 14!

Leanna had a blast "helping" mow the lawn. She even asked to be paid (like big brother gets paid for mowing). She asked for $7.
A fun-filled game of Candyland .

We celebrated Will's birthday at Red Lobster (his choice) for dinner. The staff at red Lobster sang to the two birthday boys (it was also Will's friends birthday and they were both SO embarassed and wanted to crawl under the table). Dad took Will and his friend to see a movie.
The trees in our yard are starting to bloom. This tree is in front of Leanna's bedroom window and it is beautiful!

March 8, 2011.....Sick again....Yuck!

From Dr. Seuss' Birthday
What's a girl to do when stuck inside feeling yucky? Get pampered, of course!

The crud entered our house yet again. This time though, it eventually got all of us. I
starting feeling yucky on Thursday of last week. Leanna woke up on Friday with a nasty cough and a fever. Then Will and Jeff started showing signs of it on Sunday. Luckily, we all started feeling better by Monday morning but Leanna still had a cough and a slight temperature. I called the pediatrician and they took her right in, did the rapid strep. test and diagnosed strep throat. So a Rx of antibiotics for little prissy and more days out of school.
While we were hanging out at home, she decided that she needed her nails done. She just loves the girly stuff!

February 28, 2011....A trip to the Dentist

Ok, so this may not be so bad and the rubber gloves are funny!
Uh oh! Wimper! I do not like this!
I survived and still have a smile on my face!!!

Both kids had dental appointments today. This was the first time that Leanna had actually "truly" experienced the dentist. They had looked at her teeth in the past and even brushed them for her, but this time they wanted to do a real cleaning and X-Rays. I was worried that she would not let them do it but she was a real trooper!

Today was also the first time that Leanna had experienced a true tornado drill. We had some really bad storms and tornadoes touch down in our area. Both kids spent more than a half hour in school hallways while the storm blew over. I heard over two Nashville News Stations and the local radio station that a tornado had hit the Middle School that Will attends. When I arrived at Will's school, I found out that it had been a false report. I checked both kids out of school early - no way I was leaving them there for the rest of the day!!!
