November 19, 2011....The Rockettes

We had a great girls day out that started with seeing the Rockettes!  What a beautiful show!  We then had dinner out and did some shopping.  These two little girls had a blast!

November 13, 2011.....Sneaking in the Candy Jar

I woke up Sunday morning to some noise coming from the kitchen.  I knew that I had just heard the pitter-patter of one little girl coming out of her room.  I grabbed my camera (because I knew that she was probably into something), and this is what I found.  Little sneak!

November 5, 2011.....Neighborhood Cookout - Bonfire

We had a great time at the neighborhood cookout.  Leanna roasted marshmallows for the first time!  Leanna really enjoyed visiting with Mrs. Violet, one of our neighbors, who always showers her with hugs!

October 29, 2011.....Dance Recital

We loved the cover for the program! These girls are in Leanna's class - she is the 2nd from the left.

Before she went on stage, she was one happy little girl! They were all laughing and having a great time. I left her in line, waiting for their turn on stage.

When I got to the audience, that beautiful smile had turned to frown and her teacher had to coax her onto the stage.  When she joined the other girls sitting, she faced backwards.  When it was time for them to dance though, she turned back forward and danced.  It was beautiful!  When I asked her afterwards why she had cried and did not want to go on stage, she said that she was scared.  In all honesty, I also cried as did several other mom's.  These little girls were so beautiful up on stage.

For her next two performances, she did great!  They all had a wonderful time.  I am so grateful that we found this dance school and her fantastic teacher.  She is so sweet and kind and loves all of her dance students.  This has been such a positive experience for us and we are really looking forward to the next recital in the summer!
