May has flown by!! We have been very busy with school and other projects. Leanna is finishing up the school year at home and looking forward to a new school in August. She will be attending their summer program one day a week, just to have fun with her new classmates and meet some new friends. Here she is modeling her newest pj's. I made them for her (by special request). She wanted silk pj's, so I made her these pants.
We celebrated Mother's Day. It is hard to believe to believe that my mother is 78 years old and still works full-time!
Grandma and I took Leanna to Build a Bear as a treat for a few busy days helping Grandma take care of some stuff.
Will took his driving test and passed!
He decided that he did not want to drive himself to school yet, but has been driving back and forth from swim practice on his own. He got the hand-me-down truck and he and Jeff added a back-up camera and a new stereo. He would still prefer to drive Jeff's convertible, which happens occasionally, but this big tank will be his primary source of transportation.
Leanna's dance class was suppose to dance in the local Dogwood Festival (these photo's were from the rehearsal) but on the day of the event, we had horrible rain and a drop in the temperature. Some of the girls still dance in the rain, but we decided to not participate (dancing in the rain is fun, but not when it is 44' outside and the dance is to be done in bare feet in the street).
Leanna forgot to tell me that this was supposed to be in full dress, so no crazy up-doo hair or make-up was applied.
Will received 2 awards at the end of the school year - 1 for being on the principal's honor roll all year and the other for computer technology (he says that award was for being the biggest nerd).
Leanna loves to draw - especially big designs in chalk on the driveway.
We took advantage of some nice weather and went to Gatlingburg for a weekend.
On our way back, we dropped Will off at the University of TN for a week of swim camp. He loved being on campus! He did not love swimming from 5 am to 8 pm!
Here Leanna is trying to negotiate for Will's breakfast bars.
