We have had a very successful month with home-schooling. Honestly, it is going much better than I could have ever imagined. We try to start "class" as soon as we get home from dropping Will off at school, and we usually end our day around 2. We have added lots of hands-on activities like growing plants from seeds (in preparation for our big Science project of planting a garden), and charting our plants growth, and doing crafts that relate to what we are reading. The new school loaned us some books to use so that she would be familiar with the things that they have been doing. We are seeing lots of changes with our little girl since we decided to make these changes. The biggest change is that she is happy, really happy.
We celebrated Will's 16th birthday this week. He got a hand-me-down SUV from us with a new stereo system and back-up camera added. He decided to wait until spring break to take the driving test so we have a couple of weeks until that happens. Not sure that I am ready for that!!
